WSTF initiated an Urban program aimed at funding water and sanitation in the low income urban areas. The program is piloting on the kiosk system and on site sanitation in three locations namely Mavoko, Oloolaiser in Ngong and Naivasha.
This project is supported by grants from GTZ and agreements have been signed between WSTF and Water Services Providers in those towns for the implementation of the project. Depending on the success of this pilot project plans are underway for rolling it out on a lager scale to the poor urban countrywide. |
