The Water Services Trust Fund in collaboration with Water Resources Management Authority is developing a Water Resource Users Development Cycle along similar lines to Community Project Cycle (CPC). The purpose of this project is to develop mechanism of financing rural Water Resources Users Associations (WRUA) in order to carry out water resource management related activities in their areas.
The Water Resources Management Authority (WRMA) will channel finances through WSTF to WRUA. Several consultative meetings have taken place between WSTF and WRMA and an MOU has already been signed. The tools are being developed to roll the project on a pilot scheme which will be developed first before rolling out the program nationwide.
